HR and Technical Skill Sets All In One

In Search Of ... a role working with and about people, working in the intersection of technology and talent development, whether that's organizational development, learning / training, or artificial intelligence and change management. I want to effect change and make a positive impact on the future of work.

Strategist: I'm happy whether I'm defining your blueprint for organizational AI or defining your talent strategy and talent processes, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance processes, and learning journeys. I am also an effective manager of both people and processes. I love managing teams, and I thrive on organization, which means I'm an efficient project manager.

Girl Geek: I'm a self-confessed gadget-aholic and suffer from Early Adopter Syndrome. I am fascinated by AI and want to help organizations and individuals understand the good, the great, the bad and the ugly. I love to offer workshops on everything from basic prompting to design thinking in AI, and I'm passionate about copyright, ethics and AI governance. Call me a cautious accelerationist, with a lot of Humanism.

Coach: I am actively pursuing my coaching certification through the International Coaching Federation. Additionally, I can work with you through Hogan Assessments and 360 Feedback, as I'm certified in walking you through these results and exposing the exceptional growth opportunities they present. I'm also a co-founder and director of L&D Cares, a non-profit that offers coaching and mentoring to members of the HR/Talent Management community.

Trainer: Software or soft skills, I can train you. There is nothing I love more than to lead a classroom session. I am also certified in Synchronous Delivery (virtual via WebEx, Zoom, or Teams).

Technical Writer and Editor: I have a degree in English with an emphasis in Technical Writing. I live by the maxim that brevity is the soul of wit. From technical manuals to online help, I have no problem translating technical knowledge into organized, easy to understand information. I am a word nerd.

Then there's the wine: Level 1 Sommelier (before the test was online). Off and on, I maintain a blog/newsletter on books and wine called The Grape Gatsby. Years ago, I was the executive editor and founder of My Wine Education, an award-winning wine blog sourced by Gannett Newspapers.

I bet you didn't know: I was a skydiver for a while, and I also owned a ballroom dancing studio called Paper Moon Productions, where I specialized in Lindy Hop and East Coast Swing. 💃
